The hike starts a few kilometers from the Kibwezi railway station, we start with a steep ascent to the rewarding view point of the Chyulu hills and Mt. Kilimanjaro can be seen perfectly on a clear day. After a good water break rest at the view point we descend downhills across communities farms aiming for the summit. It is a relatively gentle flat area with thick bushes.
At the summit we can get a 360° view of all sides of the mountain including the table shaped yatta plateau.
The whole trek is around 18km taking us about 6-8 hours.
5.30am Depart Nairobi for Kibwezi expected to arrive to start the hike at 8.30am
1:30 Enjoy your packed lunch or snacks at the peak as you view the scenic surroundings
What to wear and items to carry;
Wear comfortable running shoes or hiking boot
Wear gym/hiking pants (avoid jeans)
Polyester T-shirt (like the football jerseys) carry an extra one to change after the hike
Drinking water (3litres)
Sun sreen (Arimis oK)
Heavy snack or picnic Lunch
Poncho or a light Rain Jacket
Avoid unnecessary Items
Finally carry loads of fun with you and tag along a friend!!

If you cancel more than 48 hours before your scheduled trip departure, a 30% of the fee will be charged.
If you cancel within 48 hours of your schedule trip departure, no refund fees will be provided.
