This is the official commemorative event to celebrate the International Youth Day (Sunday, 12 August) on Friday, 10 August 2018 at the UN Headquarters in Nairobi.

Together with UN DESA, UN Habitat welcomes you to participate in the celebration of the International Youth Day! This year’s event aims to explore the role of safe spaces in promoting youth development.

Participants will share examples of positive spaces and the role that they played in enhancing the lives of youth, as well as consider ways in which safe spaces can promote an inclusive youth engagement in the 2030 Agenda.
